What DELE B1 asks of you, officially
To pass the oral, your speaking has to reach band 2 of the Instituto Cervantes scale, which the body defines as the B1 description of the Common European Framework. At that band, the DELE B1 scale says:
Aporta la información requerida para cumplir con el objetivo comunicativo de las tareas. Tiene un repertorio lingüístico sencillo que le permite enfrentarse a las situaciones planteadas, con errores que no interfieren en la transmisión de sus ideas. Mantiene conversaciones e intercambia información, aunque puede necesitar alguna aclaración y repetir parte de lo que su interlocutor ha dicho para confirmar la comprensión mutua.

Tarea 1
The topic you chose, to present on your own for two or three minutes.
Present the topic aloud to the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the three minutes allowed.
Hable sobre el tema elegido durante dos o tres minutos.
Tarea 2
A conversation with the interviewer about the topic of Tarea 1 (the first speaking task), lasting three or four minutes.
Converse aloud with the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the four minutes allowed.

Tarea 3
The photograph you chose, to describe for one or two minutes, after which the interviewer asks you questions.
Describe the photo and answer the questions aloud with the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the three minutes allowed.

Tarea 4
A simulated situation to play out in conversation with the interviewer for two or three minutes.

How it is marked
The oral is marked on the Instituto Cervantes scale of 0 to 3, on the criteria below, with the weights the DELE B1 guide sets. Band 2 is the pass band at DELE B1. This is the same scheme the oral grader on this site uses, not a summary of it.
Criteria
- Coherencia (coherence) · 15% of the oral mark
- Fluidez (fluency) · 15% of the oral mark
- Corrección (accuracy) · 15% of the oral mark
- Alcance (range) · 15% of the oral mark
- Escala holística (the holistic scale, one overall judgment) · 40% of the oral mark
Bands
- Band 1
- The level is not reached (No apto).
- Band 2
- Equivalent to the description of the level in the Common European Framework (Apto).
- Band 3
- The level is reached comfortably.
The oral counts toward Grupo 2 (Comprensión auditiva + Expresión e interacción orales), which needs 30 points from its sections together. It is passed or failed as a group, never on the total.
