What DELE A1 asks of you
A full DELE A1 paper, rebuilt to the Instituto Cervantes structure: same pruebas, same tareas, same clock. Sections run one way, so once you submit one you are done with it.
- Reading pace
- 25 questions in 45 minutes for 25 of the 100 points. That is about 108 seconds a question.
- Listening
- 25 questions in 25 minutes for 25 of the 100 points, and each clip plays twice and never rewinds.
- Writing load
- 2 tasks in 25 minutes. Tarea 1 asks for 15 to 25 words, Tarea 2 for 30 to 40.
- Oral
- 3 tareas spoken with the examiner, about 10 minutes in all, for 25 of the 100 points.
- Pass rule
- 2 groups, each passed on its own: a strong group cannot carry a weak one. CEFR A1.

How you are scored
50 of the 100 points are marked the moment you finish, for free. The other 50 sit on 5 of the 55 questions: Written response ×2 for 25 points and Spoken response ×3 for 25 points. Those have to be read rather than matched against a key.

Your result comes back as APTO only when every group clears its line. Miss one and it is NO APTO, whatever the total. A group whose oral you have not sat is shown as not assessed, not as a fail.
