What DELE A2 asks of you, officially
To pass the oral, your speaking has to reach band 2 of the Instituto Cervantes scale, which the body defines as the A2 description of the Common European Framework. At that band, the DELE A2 scale says:
Utiliza un repertorio lingüístico suficiente para expresarse sobre temas cotidianos y desenvolverse con cierta eficacia en situaciones de comunicación sencillas, si bien puede necesitar alguna ayuda del interlocutor en la interacción. Muestra control de las reglas gramaticales básicas para construir oraciones sencillas, aunque comete errores.
On completing the tareas, band 2 reads: Resuelve las tres tareas y logra transmitir los mensajes, si bien en alguna de las tareas puede hacerlo de forma parcial.

Tarea 1
A topic you have chosen, to talk about on your own for two or three minutes.
Speak about the topic to the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the three minutes allowed.

Tarea 2
A photo you have chosen, to talk about for two or three minutes.
Describe the photo aloud to the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the three minutes allowed.

Tarea 3
A simulated situation to act out in conversation with the interviewer for three or four minutes.
Hold the conversation aloud with the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the four minutes allowed.

How it is marked
The oral is marked on the Instituto Cervantes scale of 0 to 3, on the criteria below, with the weights the DELE A2 guide sets. Band 2 is the pass band at DELE A2. This is the same scheme the oral grader on this site uses, not a summary of it.

Bands
- Band 1
- The level is not reached (No apto).
- Band 2
- Equivalent to the description of the level in the Common European Framework (Apto).
- Band 3
- The level is reached comfortably.
The oral counts toward Grupo 2 (Comprensión auditiva + Expresión e interacción orales), which needs 30 points from its sections together. It is passed or failed as a group, never on the total.
