What DELE B2 asks of you, officially
To pass the oral, your speaking has to reach band 2 of the Instituto Cervantes scale, which the body defines as the B2 description of the Common European Framework. At that band, the DELE B2 scale says:
Expresa sus opiniones y describe las situaciones planteadas con claridad. Cumple con el objetivo comunicativo de las tareas. Tiene un repertorio lingüístico que le permite expresarse con claridad, dando pocas muestras de restringir lo que dice. Demuestra un control gramatical y léxico relativamente alto, aunque comete errores e imprecisiones que en ocasiones corrige. Mantiene la conversación de forma adecuada, confirmando su comprensión y colaborando con su interlocutor.

Tarea 1
Two topics with guidance, of which you choose one. You talk for 3 or 4 minutes on the advantages and drawbacks of a set of proposed solutions to a situation, then discuss the topic with the interviewer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Give your talk and hold the discussion aloud with the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the seven minutes allowed.
Le proponemos dos temas con algunas indicaciones para preparar una exposición oral. Elija uno de ellos. Tendrá que hablar durante 3 o 4 minutos sobre ventajas e inconvenientes de una serie de soluciones propuestas para una situación determinada. A continuación, conversará con el entrevistador sobre el tema durante 2-3 minutos.

Describe the situation and converse aloud with the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the six minutes allowed.
Usted debe imaginar una situación a partir de una fotografía y describirla durante unos dos o tres minutos. A continuación conversará con el entrevistador acerca de sus experiencias y opiniones sobre el tema de la situación. Discuss the survey aloud with the AI interviewer in the oral room, within the four minutes allowed.

How it is marked
The oral is marked on the Instituto Cervantes scale of 0 to 3, on the criteria below, with the weights the DELE B2 guide sets. Band 2 is the pass band at DELE B2. This is the same scheme the oral grader on this site uses, not a summary of it.
Criteria
- Coherencia (coherence) · 15% of the oral mark
- Fluidez (fluency) · 15% of the oral mark
- Corrección (accuracy) · 15% of the oral mark
- Alcance (range) · 15% of the oral mark
- Escala holística (the holistic scale, one overall judgment) · 40% of the oral mark
Bands
- Band 1
- The level is not reached (No apto).
- Band 2
- Equivalent to the description of the level in the Common European Framework (Apto).
- Band 3
- The level is reached comfortably.
The oral counts toward Grupo 2 (Comprensión auditiva + Expresión e interacción orales), which needs 30 points from its sections together. It is passed or failed as a group, never on the total.
